Who We Are
Seizable is a personal seizure and epilepsy management app built by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who lives with epilepsy. Seizable is operated from Florida, USA.
What We Collect
- Account information: name, email, password (hashed), and authentication tokens.
- Health data you log: seizures, medications, dose schedules, side effects, journal entries, mood, and triggers.
- Guardian and circle information: names, contact info, and permissions for people you invite.
- Location: only during an active SOS event, used to share your location with your circle. We do not track your location at any other time.
- Device and usage data: basic technical information needed to keep the app working, such as browser type and crash logs.
How We Use It
We use your data only to operate the app, deliver the features you requested, and keep your account secure. We never sell your data. We do not use your health data for advertising.
We use email open and click tracking to understand whether our emails reach you and are helpful. This is standard practice and uses a tracking pixel in our emails.
Who Can See It
- You, the account holder.
- Your guardian, if you have linked one (managed account).
- Anyone you explicitly share with through your Circle (with the permissions you choose).
Children And COPPA Compliance
Seizable is not directed to children under 13. For a child under 13, a parent or legal guardian must create the account on the child's behalf and provide verifiable parental consent — in our case, by confirming an email link sent to the parent's email address. The parent retains full access and control over the managed account, including the right to view, export, or delete the child's data at any time.
Your Rights And Choices
- Access — view all your data inside the app.
- Export — download a full copy as PDF or CSV from your Profile page.
- Delete — permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
How We Protect Your Data
Your health information is protected by multiple security layers: all data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, all data is encrypted at rest in our database, Row Level Security ensures your data is only accessible by you and who you explicitly share with, and we never store sensitive credentials in our application code. If you discover a security vulnerability please report it immediately to support@seizable.org.
